What the hell does the official adoption of the initialism of FNMA during the Clinton administration have to do with the failure of said public/private/FUBARed company?

Mr. Blair is, no doubt, either a victim of Cranio-Rectal Insertion Syndrome in desperate need of a clue, or a humorless liberal.

Why the immediate assumption that 1) I'm a liberal, or 2) I have my head up my ass?
I'm certainly not surprised it's failing, but it hasn't anything to with the left/right politics. And I'm certainly no liberal.
