So the first peak is the hope and wonder of childhood, the first trough is the angst of adolescence, the second peak is young adult hood followed by a mid-life crisis and then you write a few books and die of a pulmonary embolism because the world is full of obnoxious, incompetent, arrogant and downright mean-spirited people and there's not a damn thing you can do about it.
