Roots: a plagarized work of fiction that still gets taught as fact.

It's a travesty.

I thought of a 4-block gag but can't seem to make it fit: Nixon & Clinton on the y-axis and the x-axis is the 2 FBI files Chuck Colson went to jail for having possession of vs the 900 or so found in the personal residence of the white house. The media loves him/hates him could be another axis. It's driving me buggy. Don't tell me you did this?

Or Lee and Grant on top and Cold Harbor and Pickett's charge on the bottom. You always read that Grant was a butcher, but Lee, well he just asked, "...too much of his men".

Love the fbw. --Fog

Welcome to my world, Fog! I have so many great 3-blocks that never quite made it. So just write it down and keep it in the back of your mind. The answer may just pop into your head a few weeks from now. I do this all the time.

Thanks, but the 4-blocks is your gig. I wouldn't want to encroach. But after daydreaming about doing one or two, I see that they are not that easy to do so I have respect for the craft, certainly.

I am touting you to whoever will listen (and a few who will not). I see big things in your future. Stay on it and you'll be glad you did.

In other news, today is my boy, John Benjamin's, 1st birthday. My wife baked him a cake in the shape of a 39. I think it will be funny if he has a photo of himself with a "39" cake, for every birthday of his life, but then again, that's me. --Fog

The first root that comes from a plant is called the radicle. The three major functions of roots are 1) absorption of water and inorganic nutrients, 2) anchoring of the plant body to the ground and 3) storage of food and nutrients. In response to the concentration of nutrients, roots also synthesise cytokinin, which acts as a signal as to how fast the shoots can grow.
