128k of ram was a *lot* back then. And even those telegraph guys knew what electronic communication would be good for.

Um. On the 128k machine you speak of, the closest thing you could get to "porn" was an ASCII line-art of a Playboy Playmate.
It was another 6-10 years before computers and connection speeds got the graphics level needed to really make porn practical.
Granted, there were a few laughable excuses for "porn", like "People Pong" but it wasn't until you had at least EGA graphics on the IBM that you really could get any vaguely worthwhile porn. After that point it was also a matter of connection speeds climbing to and 9600bps.
