T: If you ever get the chance, and you haven't done it, take in a football game at West Point. Great in every way and quite cheap. I don't understand why it isn't a bigger deal but I'm happy with it the way it is. --Fog

Same for a game at UF in The Swamp. Its steep shape keeps sound in. One of the big games of the year, the sound level down on the field has been measured in the same dB range as "Jet Exhaust at 100 feet". The on;y other comparable fields are LSU's Death Valley and at UT.

well, West Point isn't loud until they shoot those guns by the lake. Sometimes there will be a flyover. A few years ago, 3 B-25s which are propeller driven light bombers from WWII flew over Michie stadium at treetop level. There was no bleedon of noise: just POW! and there they were. Stuff like that is common place at WP. The parade on the parade ground is also neat. Parachuting the gameball into Michie Stadium is also another unique thing. Bumping into a 3-star general on the way to the game? It's all there.

There's a few of 'em probably shoulda been bumped off, instead, but sounds like it has a charm of its own.
