Not sure how you're coming up with George W. Bush deserving credit for this. He's been out of office for a few years now, and not involved in foreign policy.

Bush had 7 years to do the job. The reality is that if we hadn't pulled so many forces out of Afghanistan to go into Iraq, Bush could've had Bin Laden's head before he left office.

Exactly how much credit does Obama deserve? Tough to say... I don't think he deserves as much as he'll get. Clearly the people who finally found the guy and put a bullet in his head deserve the credit here... not whoever happened to be sleeping in the White House.

As for who will "Finish the War on Terror"... I don't think it will ever be declared won. Politicians on both sides have too much invested in its use for hyperbole and the increase in the size and scope of government. Its too useful of a tool. It'll be like the War on Drugs, the War on Poverty, and every other War of Hyperbole that our politicians have come to know and love so much in the last 30 years.

"The reality is that if we hadn't pulled so many forces out of Afghanistan to go into Iraq, Bush could've had Bin Laden's head before he left office."

You make this statement as if it is a settled fact. Not your opinion or commentary on the war in Iraq, a "reality." Talk about hyperbole.

Tom: don't know why you attract so many liberal trolls? Clueless and humorless the bunch of them.

If Obama had done this all on his own there would be no gitmo, no enhanced interrogation and therefore who knows the result. None the less we should salute him for doing a good job. His speech last night was first rate.

After listening to the President's speech announcing the death of Osama bin Laden, some folks might have been surprised to hear that President Obama piloted the first helicopter, and Michelle piloted the second helicopter.

I was only surprised he did not take his daughters with him. This is about the only part of the world they have not seen first hand.

Good one about Churchill/Attlee (2 t's) - Some more liberal trolling for ya: You left out "Jimmy Carter" and "Everything that made Reagan look good" :D

I'll add the missing "T" at "T" time

Tom: Has there ever been another, more paradoxical analog to:

If it were up to him the entire time: BH Obama
We would not have gotten: Osama BL
But this man "got" him: BH Obama

Something with J Edgar Hoover maybe? Tough one.

Yah yah yah, yadda yadda yadda.

The fact is, Osama's been dead since Tora Bora. They just didn't want to create a martyr, and Osama's now been out of the limelight long enough that they could "officially" kill him. So The Big 0 gets to take the credit for Bush's accomplishment.

No proof of that, of course.

But it's reallllll interesting how they went to such great lengths to make sure no one ever got a good look at the body and such, no DNA samples taken, etc., etc., so that one cannot PROVE that it wasn't Obama and not some other terrorist schmuck they took out that night.

Y'know, it's just one of those "Things that make you go.... HMMMM."

Is this anything like "The War On Libya"?

You know, the one The Big 0 has already openly indicated he consider as illegal and unconstitutional by his own statements?

What we need is a War on Hypocrisy.

It is used to pay for peoples' time and services, sometimes, famously, for lascivious purposes, but in large part also for expertise, such as salary to employees at (in-world) retail stores to assist customers, scripting (technical expertise), design services (photoshop, animation, and other high-level expertise), content generation (writers), photographers (photos for advertisements, vanity shots, machinima), counseling, advice, etc.
